Easter egg hunting symbolises the rebirth of humanity at Easter, which is widely celebrated by Christians. Moreover, people can organise their own Easter egg hunting party at home by just decorating the yard and their house.
They can adorn the place with different pastel-coloured paper cut-outs, helium balloons, and streamers. First, fill up several dozens of multicoloured plastic eggs with money, candy, and small toys. Then, write a "congratulations" note on a folded, bright sheet of paper and put it inside one of the plastic eggs. Next, hide the eggs in locations where little kids can find the eggs easier. For the older ones, hide them in more concealed locations. Then, prepare a table with coloured, empty paper bags, coloured stickers, and markers. Make the children decorate and personalise their own bags for the Easter egg hunt. The actual hunting starts when everyone finishing decorating their bags. When all the hidden eggs are found, ask the children who has gotten the special egg with "congratulations" in it. Then, give the winner a prize, such as a huge chocolate bunny or a decorated egg.
For extra holiday activities, encourage children to join the egg relay race and the egg toss. You can also offer them some refreshments after the game. One good example of child-friendly, but healthy, refreshments are sandwiches, pink fizzy punch, baby carrots, and decorated Easter cookies. By doing this, your kids and their friends will surely have a good time hunting for the Easter eggs while playing engaging Easter games.
