The traditional trick-or-treat during Halloween is done by giving kids candies or letting them perform in an activity. Why don’t you try another way of celebrating a different Halloween party? For example, a house-to-house Halloween party, though it takes a lot of preparation and organisation, is fun.
sk some families to join and invite children. Decide the number of houses you want to participate. Hosts can be the children’s parents or neighbours. Set up a meeting for the families who will join and discuss the necessary agendas such as the date and time for the party, the length of time that children will be staying at each house, and if children will be transported to each house or not. Also, you should discuss who will shoulder the expenses. Make a list of different activities and games for each house. Activity ideas such as treasure hunts, painting pumpkins, and creating a haunted forest at the back of the house can be included. A light snack is necessary such as pizza rolls, cheese and crackers, a veggie tray with dips and beverages such as hot chocolate or cider. Have the children chaperoned whether or not the kids will be walking. Be sure to give out invitations, which should include the basic information and necessary things to bring such as coat, a trick-or-treat bag and flashlight. It should also indicate the names and addresses of the houses of the families’ participants, so parents will know the whereabouts of their children. Before starting the party, set up a second meeting and confirm all the information with the other participants
